The aim of present study is evaluation of the effect of three rates of iron/starch superabsorbent nanocomposite (0, 75, 150 and 225 mg) and three irrigation intervals (6, 7 and 8 days) on growth and yield of tomato in plot. The results of this study showed that there was a significant effect among irrigation intervals on tomato yield and height. Moreover, the highest increase in tomato yield and height were achieved at 225 mg iron/starch superabsorbent nanocomposite compared with the control (without iron/starch superabsorbent nanocomposite). These results indicate that application of iron/starch superabsorbent nanocomposite at 225 mg appeared to increase the tomato growth and yield attributes.
