خلاصه مقاله:
Alginate modified hydrogel-based cellular constructs have found widespread applications in tissue engineering and cell therapy due to having low cost, easy molding, and low immunogenicity. In this study gelatin was added to alginate for improving cell adhesion, and ringsheet alginate -gelatin was evaluated as a building block in modular tissue engineering. Mass transfer characteristics, mechanical properties, biodegrability and cell proliferation were evaluated. The results showed ring- sheet alginate- gelatin construct can be applied as a building block in modular tissue engineering due to approporiate mechanical properties and also mass transfer coefficient (5.72× 10-5 cm/s). Proliferation of fibroblast cells as model was 2.5 fold when they were cultured at initial cell dencity of 1.5× 106 after 5 days. The biodegrability analysis showed this hydrogel could also be controled by gelatin concentration. This work demomstrsted that ringsheet alginate- gelatin is a promising building block for modular tissue engineering.
