This paper reports on the synthesis and application of Pd/Cu nanoparticles, as separable catalysts for cyanation of aryl halides under ligand-free conditions. The catalyst was characterized by XRD, SEM and EDS analysis. The effects of solvent, base, and amount of catalyst for cyanation reaction were investigated. This method was proved to be applicable to a wide range of aryl iodides and bromides. Further, the catalyst can be easily recovered quantitatively and reused up to several times without a noticeable loss of its catalytic activity
