خلاصه مقاله:
The present study aimed to analyze the vocabulary presentation style in English Textbook of Grade 7: the old published vs. the newly published. The population for this studyconsisted of all the junior high school English teachers in Maragheh, Iran. The sample included 10 high school English language teachers out of which 10 (5 female and5 male) accepted to answer the 30-item questionnaire. According to the results of thequestionnaire, it can be concluded that Prospect1 is satisfactory from teachers'viewpoints, and it is appropriate and successful in terms of vocabulary presentationstyle. The findings of the present study may be fruitful for teachers’ development and professional growth; moreover, the findings of this investigation will help teachers and students who are teaching and learning this new book, ELT administrators, experts, and even textbook writers and materials developers in Iran. During the teaching process the teacher should try to use all available resources(CDs, Flashcards, etc.) to improve the effectiveness of his/her teaching. And as different learners have different learning styles and abilities, usually a combination of different techniques yields better results.
