خلاصه مقاله:
A novel surface coating on a PET woven fabric was investigated using dispersions of the silica nonporous particles (SNP) and fluorocarbon via electro-spraying method. The coated fabrics with and without SNP content were compared by measuring the heat transfer percentage, water contact angle and structural properties. The results showed that the heat transfer was decreased from 72 % for the uncoated fabric to 63 and 49 % for the fluorocarbon and SNP/fluorocarbon coated fabrics, respectively. Also, the presence of the SNP on the fibers is able to improve the water repellent properties of the low surface energy fluorocarbon coated samples due to changes in the surface topology.
