خلاصه مقاله:
Understanding the nature of interaction between metal nanoparticles and biomolecules has been important in the develop ment and design of sen sors. Among various n anoparticles, gold nanoparticles hav e attracted m uch attenti on in chemi stry and material scienc e because of their good biocompatib ility, facile synthesis, a nd conjugation to a variety of bim olecular lig ands. Glutathione –mo dified gold nano surfaces were considered for specific protein bin ging. Ligand exchange between th e Glutathion e -Au nanoparticles with thiolated oligonucle otides has been examined by Kornbe ry and co-w orkers. Recently, the de velopment of a nanopa rticle-based drug deliv ery and release system using Glutathione as the releasin g agent has been shown to be via ble. Howev er, interparticle interactions of glutathione and metal particles remai n elusive.
