Optimization is a process that finds a best, or optimal, solution for a problem. The algorithms used for solving optimization problems can be very diverse, from conventional algorithms to modern meta-heuristic algorithms. The optimization algorithms developed so far can be broadly classified into deterministic and stochastic. Meta-heuristic optimization algorithms are often inspired from nature. optimization in construction managements problems Construction engineering and management as field of engineering might be summarily defined as planning projects, estimating and controlling costs, administering contracts, organizing construction sites, managing construction process, optimizing site activities. in this paper, we consider A comprehensive study on meta-heuristic algorithms and Application of Optimization Algorithm for Civil Engineering Problems.
