The PZT powder [with the composition of Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3] was synthesized by an acetate sol-gel method. The obtained gel was calcined at different temperatures. The Powders particle size was characterized using Zeta Seizer and TEM methods. The microstructure of calcined powder was studied by SEM and TEM. The XRD was applied to study the starting materials as well as obtained PZT powders. The first series of samples were prepared via mixed powder method. The sol-gel prepared single phase PZT powder was mixed with the mixture of milled PMN starting materials and sintered in a two step sintering process.
