خلاصه مقاله:
In this experiment, TiO2 thin films have been prepared on glass substrates using dip coating sol-gel method and then annealed at 500°C in air. Optical band gap energy of the films obtained 3.2 eV. The AFM analysis determined that the mean grain size and roughness increased after annealing the films. XRD revealed anatase structural phase in (101) crystallographic orientation and the average crystalline size was estimated 31 nm. In addition, the photocatalytic properties of these films were investigated by degrading methylene blue (MB) under UV irradiation. According to our kinetic analysis, the photocatalytic decomposition reaction of MB on the surface of synthesized TiO2 film occurred and resulted in degradation of 60 % of the initial MB under UV irradiation after 200 min
