Performance of Co/Zeolite Catalysts in Partial Oxidation of Methane

In this paper, performance of Co/Zeolite nano-structure catalysts in partial oxidation of methane was investigated. The catalysts were produced through reverse microemulsion method. These catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and temperature programmed reduction (TPR) tests. CH4 conversion for Co/Y catalyst was more than Co/ZSM5. It could represent to the higher reduction degree of Co/Y catalyst compared to Co/ZSM5. Also Co/Y shows the higher selectivity to CO and H2 Yield in comparison with Co/ZSM5. Co/Y catalyst showed a suitable ability in syngas production with an H2/CO ratio of about 2 compared to other catalyst.
