چکیده مقاله:

Abstract: Hepatitis C virus is estimated to affect nearly 170 million people, worldwide. Every year, diagnosis and treatment of this infection needs to spend a lot of cost. Hepatitis C virus tends to develop into chronic hepatitis rather than acute infection. Failure to develop a vaccine to prevent hepatitis C infection is due to the high mutation rate in the virus genome. Today, a new way of diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis C virus infected patients has been introduced using various nanoparticles.Method: Scientific databases such as PubMed, Google scholar, and Scopus were searched for collecting sources of authentic data with no time limit. The inclusion criteria were based on the keywords and a variety of nanoparticles used in the diagnosis or treatment of hepatitis C infection. Input data were qualitatively analyzed. Results and Conclusion: Lipid nanoparticles have the most important role among organic nanoparticles in this field. Among inorganic nanoparticles, magnetic ones, such as iron oxide nanoparticles and other metal nanoparticles including gold and copper nanoparticles are the most effective nanoparticles in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis C virus infection
