چکیده مقاله:

Introduction :Long intestine cancer is the third commonest type of cancer in the world and one of the types which is influenced by environmental factors. Female hormones, especially Sterogen, have been recognized as related factors to this type of cancer that can reduce the risks of large intestine cancer contraction. The present review article aims to investigate the effects of female hormones on the prevention of large intestine cancer in menstruated women.Method:The present review article, investigated published articles from 2000 to 2018 using the key words large intestine cancer, female hormones, and menstruation in international databases of PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, Sid, and Scopus.Findings :The antiproliferative effects of phytoestrogens have been proved in clinical studies and the results suggest that Enterolactones and Enterodiols can reduce cancerous cells up to 30-18.During menstruation, Strogen level is so low and the phytoestrogens strengthen their Strogenic effects, so they can reduce menstrual symptoms and also reduce the risks of large intestine cancer contraction. The findings reveal that taking Estrogen and Progesterone hormones can reduce the chances of large intestine cancer contraction in women, which leads us to raise the issue of the protective effects of Estrogen on colon cancer.Discussion and Conclusion:The findings show that the female hormone of Estrogen can play a protective role in menstruated women who suffer from colon cancer.
