Background and Aim : Background: The first care and treatment in the forensic cases is regardingto pre-hospital emergency medical service. The purpose of this study is an assessment ofknowledge, attitude and performance of emergency medical technicians in dealing with forensicissues in kashan, 2017.Methods : Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with the participation of 110emergency medical technicians of Kashan using census sampling method. Data collected bydemographic questionnaire and a researcher made knowledge, attitude and performancequestionnaire. The researcher-made questionnaire consisted of 42 questions, 10 questions relatedto the knowledge section, 10 questions related to the attitude section and 22 questions related tothe performance section. Data were entered into the spss20 software and analyzed usingdescriptive statistics, t-test, chi-square and ANOVA.Results : Result: This research showed that the mean score of the medical emergency personnelknowledge was 5.69 ± 2.14, the mean score of attitude was 30.95 ± 9.26, and the mean score ofperformance was 14.95 ± 4.40. The result indicated that the status of knowledge, attitude andperformance is related to the level of education and the type of employment but is not related tomarital status, age, work experience and academic field. Conclusion : Conclusion: Knowledge, attitude and performance of Kashan Emergency MedicalTechnicians in dealing with forensic issues, were at a medium level. By notice that, trainingcourses related to forensic area are necessary.
