چکیده مقاله:

Today most industrial sodium sulfide (Na2S) is produced by reaction of sulfur and sodium hydroxide. This method produces sodium sulfite (Na2SO3) as by-product. Since many of the sodium sulfide and sodium sulfite properties are similar to each other, their mixture production is permissible and mainly this blended product is marketed as flake sodium sulfide. But in some industries such as mining the presence of sulfite next to sulfide creates problems, therefore it is imperative to separate them from each other. In this work by choosing ammonium hydroxide as suitable solvent, complete separation of them is done.
