چکیده مقاله:
Coke deposition occurs in refinery and petrochemical processes such as pyrolysis and cracking. In large gas-fired furnaces hydrocarbons are in contact with the internal walls of coils at high temperature. Coking involves the massive accumulation of carbon on the internal surface of the coils, increasing the pressure drop through the coils and reducing the efficiency of heat transfer between the reactor and firebox. Consequently, the coils must be regularly decoked, a process in which the deposited coke layer is burned off using a mixture of air and steam. An example decoking process is steam‐air decoking. In hot steam‐air decoking (HASD), low pressure steam and air are introduced into the furnace. Oxygen from the air reacts with the carbon deposits on the interior surfaces of the furnace tubes to form carbon dioxide gas, which is exhausted from the furnace, typically, to atmosphere. In Ilam Petrochemical Olefin Plant, the exhaust of hot steam‐air decoking operation routed to the cracking furnace firebox where cock particles and carbon monoxide converted to carbon dioxide by contact with high temperature of burners flame which is have very importance from an environmental point of view. This method does not need to shut down the furnace and the heat of combustion of cock particles produce very high pressure steam(VHP) which optimize energy consumption in the cracking furnace. Hot steam-air decoking (HASD) leads to less frequent need for de-coking cycles, decreased particulate waste inventory, increased operating rates, higher product yield, extended furnace life and lower maintenance costs.
