Green Supplier Assessment Using Fuzzy Hierarchical Technique at Pars Khodro Company in Iran

Nowadays, it is really unlikely that customers buy a product or service based only on price. Customers want to know that companies are doing the right thing. They demand transparency of all supply chain stages including information about suppliers, production process, waste management and etc. In other words, customers are more prone to purchase an environmentally friendly product and that puts a great pressure on companies. The purpose of this research is to analyze and evaluate suppliers’ performance of Pars Khodro company in Iran, based on environmental criteria, using fuzzy hierarchical analysis. The method of this research is descriptive-survey and after collecting data, a questionnaire and a checklist of the results is analyzed using AHP analysis. We asked some experts to evaluate the performance of six suppliers based on defined criteria. At the end, suppliers who gain the required score are chosen.
