An eco-friendly approach for one-pot synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives using CrCl3.6H2O as catalyst

CrCl3.6H2O as an efficient, mild and economical catalyst for one-pot three-component synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives from reaction between aldehyde derivatives, malononitrile and dimedone with good yields and short reaction times is reported. The most benefits of this synthetic method are including efficient, eco-friendly, inexpensive and non-toxic catalyst and environmentally benign nature
