چکیده مقاله:

The purpose: Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases. Statistics show that the prevalence of diabetes in the world and in Iran is increasing so that by 2030 it will increase to 366 million people. For example, diabetic foot ulcers are a serious complication of diabetes and if left untreated and timely treatment will eventually lead to amputation of the area which may have many psychological effects on the individual. The purpose of this study was therefore to evaluate the effects of hyperbaric therapy in the control and recovery of diabetic foot ulcer.The main materials and Methods used: This study is a systematic review with extensive search of internet databases, prestigious journals, scopus, Pub med, SID and search engine Google Scholar analyzed. Diabetic foot ulcer, chronic diseases, Hyperbaric Therapy and their combination were searched for keywords and the 2010 to 2019 timeframe was used to select articles. And after reviewing the title and abstract of the articles and eliminating duplicates, the quality of the articles found by the researchers using the JBI tool was reviewed and the findings were included in the desired checklist. The main Results obtained: After reviewing 380 articles, finally 20 study-related articles were used, studies were carried out (Italy, Sweden, Portugal, Germany, Canada, Taiwan, Turkey, England and the United States). Most studies have confirmed the beneficial role of the Hyperbaric therapy in controlling diabetic foot ulcers by reducing skin inflammation, improving blood circulation, and the control of infection and angiogenesis that it can have, and two studies have contradictory results to the study that did not have a positive effect on Hyperbaric therapy. Studies have emphasized the succession and frequency of hyperbaric therapy sessions.The main conclusions of the work: Regarding the recent application of this method in the country, and reports of several complications of this method, such as ear or pulmonary injury, and the unique therapeutic properties of this method in the control and treatment of diabetic foot ulcer More and more studies and trials are needed to take a major step in controlling and managing the complications of chronic diseases
