چکیده مقاله:

Antibacterial Activity Of Alumina-Titania Nanoparticles Loaded On CelluloseShokoh Parham a,b, Anousheh Zargar Kharazi aa School of Advanced Medical Technology, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan, Iranb Ibnu Sina Institute For Fundamental Science Studies, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, MalaysiaIntroduction: Recently, increasing public concern on hygiene has been driving many investigations for antimicrobial modification of cellulose. Usually antibiotics, also known as antibacterial drugs, have been used as antibacterial agents. The use of antibiotics as antibacterial agents has been avoided because of the increasing prevalence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria infections. In the last decade, based on the proper humidity and temperature of the traditional bandage, that is a good based for growth microorganism such as bacteria. Therefore, the use of inorganic nanoparticles and their nanocomposite would be a good alternative for antibacterial agents for the replacement of antibiotics agents such as wound dressing. Since Alumina- Titania nanoparticles are known to possess strong antibacterial properties, one expects that the attachment of Alumina- Titania nanoparticles on cellulose can be used as an antibacterial agent. Therefore this cellulose nanocomposite can be used as wound dressing that be controlled the bacterial infection of wound.Method: Alumina- Titania nanoparticles were synthesized by sol-gel method. Alumina-Titania/ cellulose nanocomposite was prepared by coating Alumina- Titania nanoparticles on cellulose. The physicochemical properties of these cellulose nanocomposites structures were analyzed by FTIR and EDX-FESEM. Here, the inhibitory activity against E. coli analysed in LB medium. Results and Discussion: FTIR and EDX-FESEM analysis indicated that Alumina- Titania nanoparticles are attached on cellulose. Alumina- Titania/cellulose nanocomposite could inhibit growth of E.Coli. Therefore this cellulose nanocomposite can be used as wound dressing that be controlled the bacterial infection of wound.
