Apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) cultivars are early blooming and in most of years the flowers were damaged by early and late spring frosts therefore fruit set and productivity are vary year- to- year. In order to evaluation and study of flowering, bearing, dormancy and climatic adaptation of five commercial apricot cultivars; Nasiri, Ordobad, Doroshte – M., Ghorbane – M. and Ghermeze – sh. an experiment was conducted in three apricot producing areas of East- Azarbaijan province. The results indicated that time of flowering, cold resistance of flower buds and shoots, time of entrance into dormancy and effective pollination period (EPP), productivity and fruit quality were varied in different climatic condition. Ghorbane – M cultivar had regular productivity with stability in bearing, fruit quality and flowering but Nasiri and Ordobad cultivars were very sensitive to climatic condition especially for fruit set in spring. Fruit quality of Ghermeze – sh. cultivar was difference in different areas. Therefore climatic adaptation must be studied before recommending or planting apricot cultivars in new climatic condition
