چکیده مقاله:

Hypnotic process from the earliest steps i.e. absorption to the deep trance phase as well as the survival of its outcomes depends on the plasticity state of the brain. Neuroplasticity is the capacity of brain cells to change and remodel their synaptic interconnectedness in response to intrinsic and extrinsic factors. This dynamic brain capacity not only is various in different persons, but also may change in an individual according to the bio-psychological and exposome variables.Method:This qualitative study is based on an exploratory and interdisciplinary approach to the modern findings on hypnosis and neuroplasticity, and also ancient written teachings of Persian Medicine about the brain and natural neuro-tropho-protective bioCeuticals. Results:In terms of the old teachings of Persian sage philosopher-physicians, neuroplasticity can be understood as a neurophysiologic indicator of brain temperament which varies in a wide spectrum from cold/dry brain temperament to hot/wet brain temperament. The cold/dry brain temperament can be characterized by some neurophysiologic and neuropsychological appearances including low brain plasticity. On the other hand the hot/wet brain temperament is distinguished by some other ones including high brain plasticity. Conclusion:To promote the suggestibility and hypnotic process, the neuroplasticity should be enhanced. Based on the ancient manuscripts in Persian Medicine and new experimental observations, a practical way to enhance the neuroplasticity is modulating the brain temperament through nutritional/medicinal interventions that moderate the brain temperament and strengthen its main forces. An explanatory model on brain behavioral patterns and some bioCeutical interventions will be addressed and presentedhere to improve the hypnotic process.
