STEM CELL RESEARCH AND TISSUE TRANSPLANTATION: AN OVERVIEW

Embryonic stem cells have been unrivaled ability to differentiate into any specialized cell type. Recently , enormous progress has been made toward the application of pluripotent embryonic stem cells in replacement therapy. Research in needed to determine the most viable stem cell lines and reliable ways to promote the differentiation of stem cells into specific cell types, but stem cell research have raised a series of ethical and public – policy questions that are now being confronted by multiple international organizations, nations, culture , and religious traditions . in this article, the use of human embryonic stem cells in considered from ethical, legal, religious and political viewpoints.
