چکیده مقاله:

Among the three pathotypes of Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri A, A* and Aw, A*- type strains have restricted host range to Mexican lime and cause huge production losses and decreases yield by reducing quality and quantity. A*- type strains are present worldwide around growing regions such as Middle and Southeast Asia and divided to four subgroups, among which, cluster 4.4 is newly characterized in Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran. Here, for the first time we report the draft genome of strain XccA* NIGEB-386 from this new cluster. The draft genome has a size of 5,230,956 bp, together with two plasmids, namely pXCC48 (48,241 bp) and pXCC55 (55,722 bp). The average genomic GC content (64.8%) of the chromosomes is similar to those of other Xanthomonas genomes. This genome encodes 4,553 predicted coding regions (CDSs), 55 tRNA and three rRNA genes. It contains also 28 putative type III secretion (T3S) effectors which seem to be involved in its virulence and host range limitations as well as 2 CRISPR repeats in response to phage challenges. Based on the data provided here, genomic differences between A, Aw and A* strains are detectable.
