Digital watermarking scheme using contourlet transform

It was explored that the countourlet transform (CT) is able to capture the directional edges and contours superior to wavelet transform (WT). In this paper, we propose a simple watermarking algorithm based on CT, which is robust for some geometrical and non-geometrical attacks as well. Two metrics, peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and normalized cross correlation (NC), are computed to show that the fidelity of the watermarked image and attacks robustness.
