FFT Analyze of Broken Bar Fault Detection in Three- Phase Induction Motor Using Single Phase StatorCurrent in Low Slip Range

The majority of research is about the detection ofbroken bar fault in three-phase induction motor at high slip.Thus, it becomes very interesting and demanding to detect faultsin case of low slip range and full load condition. This paperinvestigate the broken bar fault using FFT analyze of inductionmotor stator currents. The main advantage of these techniques ischeap equipment, because only one current is needed to detectbroken bar fault. Mathematical model of broken rotor bars isdescribed and investigate by Matlab/Simulink software.
