چکیده مقاله:

lemon balm, known as, Melissa officinalisis a perennial herbaceous plant in the mint family (Lamiaceae). It is widely used as an aromatic compound in the pharmaceutical, and food industries. Drought stress in plants is the result of an increase in water loss, insufficient water absorption or a combination of the two. Salicylic acid is a phenolic compound that is considered for its phytohormones and metabolism effects. It can affect synthesis, oxidative and biological activities such as growth, photosynthesis, respiration, absorption and transport of ion. In the practical part, interaction of genetic and biochemical characteristics and molecular treatments on Melissa officinalis was evaluated. The results indicated that salicylic acid has more effect on lemon balm, especially at 0.7 mM concentration. It was found that in drought stress, many secondary metabolites increaseed and salicylic acid increased the drought effect on samples.
