The performance of Nanoalumina_Nanosilver_Chitosan as an adsorbent for the removal of azo dye Acid red 14 from aqueous solution by adsorption has been investigated. Sorption batch experiments were conducted for optimizing the pH, initial dye concentration, contact time, amount of sorbent and so on. The nanobiocomposite effectively adsorbed Acid red 14 with maximum sorption capacity of 68.5 mg.g-1. It was found that the dye removal increased by rising contact time and adsorbent dosage, whereas decreased by increasing of the initial dye concentration and pH. The data from kinetic studies were better fitted with the pseudo-second -order equation. The Result was analyzed by the Langmuir and Freundlich equation and the Langmuir isotherm model was found suitable for explaining the adsorption behavior of Acid red14 onto adsorbent. The method was successfully applied to the removal of Acid red 14 in water samples.
