Synthesis , characterization and antibacterial studies of two new Cd(II) macrocyclic Schiff-base complexes containing pyridine moiety

The metal templated Cd(II) cyclocondensation of 2,6-diacetylpiridine and two different liner amines have been investigated. The complexes have been characterized by a variety of methods including IR, elemental analysis, EI- Mass, and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The antibacterial actions of the complexes have been screened against Six bacteria(S. aureus, B. cereus, C. xerosis, E. coli, K. pneuomoniae and P. vulgaris) to study their comparative capacity to inhibit the growth.
