چکیده مقاله:

Due to the recent rapid penetration of wind power into the power systems, the problems of incorrect operation of wind turbines that including sub synchronous resonance fluctuations and fault ride through capability should be fully considered and must be resolved. In a compensated power system with capacitive reactance that connected to a wind turbine, severe injuries shown on rotor of synchronous generator because of SSR phenomenon. Control of active and reactive power of mentioned power system are performed by SDBR and STATCOM, respectively. Power system designer combined them to improve the system stability. In this paper, an appropriate method present based on genetic algorithm to coordinated and optimal control of STATCOM and SDBR to mitigate of SSR and FRT improvement in wind farm connected power system. Optimization variable of this problem include the resistance value of SDBR, STATCOM capability and its control parameters that optimized simultaneously with Genetic algorithm that stored kinetic energy in rotor, voltage deviations of wind farm bus and rotor speed deviations minimized. Proposed method is implemented on IEEE first benchmark model to verify the performance of control structure. Obtained results indicated that optimal and coordinate combination of SDBR and STATCOM caused to damping of SSR oscillations and system stability improvement.
