چکیده مقاله:
Safe water is one of the most important criterions of the society health. The quantity of which is affected by such different factors as conditions and the path of water providing sources. Due to adjacency to desert region, the water of Qom City, in addition to being salty and bitter which may the result of heavy metal existence, might threaten people's health. In this investigation, applying Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) method, the amount of Zinc, Copper, Cadmium, Aluminum and Nickel was determined. The maximum amount of Zinc, Copper, Cadmium, Aluminum and Nickel in water providing sources was 0.28, 0.07, 0.02, 0.56 and 0.08 ppm and their amount was 0.07, 0.03, 0.01, 0.21 and 0.03 ppm, respectively. The maximum and minimum concentrations of those in fresh-water maker input was 0.34, 0.02 ppm for Zinc, 0.08, 0.03 ppm for Copper, 0.00, 0.01 ppm for Cadmium, 0.45, 0.03 ppm for Aluminum, 0.09, 0.00 ppm for Nickel and the mean was 0.10, 0.05, 0.01, 0.23 and 0.04 ppm, respectively. The maximum and minimum concentrations of those in fresh-water maker output was 0.10, 0.00 ppm for Zinc, 0.08, 0.02 ppm for Copper, 0.00, 0.01 ppm for Cadmium, 0.53, 0.16 ppm for Aluminum, 0.00, 0.07 ppm for Nickel and the mean was 0.06, 0.05, 0.01, 0.32 and 0.03 ppm, respectively. Investigations have shown that there was a significant difference between the Zinc concentration in the water-providing sources and fresh water input (p<0.05), while there was no significant difference between Copper concentration in the water-providing sources and fresh water output (p>0.05). There was a significant difference between Zinc and Cadmium, Aluminum and Nickel, while there was no significant difference between Zinc and Copper (p>0.05). The results showed that the concentration of the above-mentioned metals in the fresh water of Qom was less than the EPA mount of allowed international standards.
