Conceptual Constitutive Model for Structured Soils in Thermodynamical Based Disturbed State Concept

A conceptual constitutive model is presented for consolidation and yield of structured clays.Generalized thermodynamic principals based on the specified form of free energy and dissipative energy functions are used to derive the yield function and elasto-plastic response of the model. Free energy and dissipative energy functions are introduced by an additional term related to the work of the additional volumetric plastic strain due to the soil structure and Disturbed State Concept is employed to derive incremental response of the model which is based on thermodynamic based MMC model.
