Dynamic Instability Characteristics For Indirect Snapping of Shell-Like Structures

The characteristic of indirect snapping of shell-like structures is numerically investigated by FEM,considering geometrical nonlinearity. Analytic models are chosen from arches and EP shells which areapplied by up-and-down Step excitations. The dynamic buckling loads are compared with the staticcritical loads, and the mechanism is examined by using phase curves and running spectra of nonlineardisplacement responses
