Urban unsustainable in Metropolises of Iran(1956-2006), Case study Informal settlements in Religious Metropolis of Mashhad

In the recent one hundred years the Cities (especially Metropolises) in Iran have been facing too many difficulties as a result of changes in the urban system. This articleexamines how the past one hundred years of government change and political reforms in Iran have reshaped in the cities and metropolises development .This article also willdiscus the influence of population, immigration, petroleum incomes and structural limits with social, economical and ecological point of view and uses descriptive-analytic method on unsustainable urban development process in Iran .This is the result of a casestudy on the second Iran metropolis challenges. It contains some factors which influences urban unsustainable, such as environmental pollution, urban influx of development,increasing informal settlement and etc .That I have already emphasized on Informal settlements .This article also contains the influencing factors of social, cultural, political in all local, regional, national and international levels on unsustainable development ofMashhad the religious metropolis.
