چکیده مقاله:

In the 1970s, linguistic studies in the field of art found its right place and liberal arts became the basis of forming different Theories in architecture reading; hence semantics as a branch of linguistics was used in art texts critique and reading. Architecture like a text associated a world of thoughts and design values in front of the audience, and found a hidden language to talk to its audience. Afterwards Christopher Alexander based on idea of nature’s Order, studied all the phenomena of the universe under two titles Living structures And nonliving Structure , and started to study and recognize the pattern of life and living structures considering the concept of integrated universality and strong centers. In this Research, the scholar is trying to study Alexander’s theory the phenomenon of life and living structure as one of the main topics of contemporary thoughts by understanding the meaning of Iranian gardens which from the beginning of art history have been the birth of architecture in different forms containing religious ideas, adapted from myths, nature and natural elements in all forms of shapes, symbols, signs and faces that carry specific thoughts and ideas. This research is an applied research in the form of qualitative studies. Therefore, its research method is descriptive-analytical and necessary information has been gathered through collecting library studies and field surveys. The results of this study suggest that the approach of Alexander s living structure theory in the form of Iranian Garden, at the beginning search for signs and their meanings and then, for each sign, it chooses a certain meaning where meaning and readings of Iranian Garden has only one interpretation which is Lost paradise in the heart of the desert of Iran and closes other roads to numerous readings.
