چکیده مقاله:

The main aim of this paper is developing an improvement strategy for the service management in Agricultural Supply Chain (ASC). So current research focused on service package selection to maximize the effectiveness of agricultural services and create a sustainable management platform using integer linear programming. Each alternative in our optimization problem is a unique package of agricultural services, there are seven types of agricultural services, which are intend to supply in an agricultural region (such a county or province) to improve the performance of ASC. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) used to estimate the relative importance of each service type implementation on the ASC targets. The effectiveness of each service package calculated using these values in optimization model. The proposed approach can be used in strategic decision making to use the allocated budget to each region for improving the performance of ASC in a specified time and make a sustainable supply of services in ASC. Using proposed approach, the budget can be allocated to the most effective service packages. The approach is almost related to short term periods (i.e. annual or at most few years’ periods). The results of a case study in Iran showed that the service package includes: mechanizations, advisory, financial and post production consulting services are selected for more studied districts. For longer periods, the effectiveness of services is not enough and other aspects of service development should be considered in strategic planning.
