چکیده مقاله:

TP53 is assumed as the most important tumour suppressor gene that recent reports have shown roles for its polymorphisms in breast cancer risk. Arg72Pro and PIN (+16bp) polymorphisms proposed to have effective role in structure changes of the p53.They have been inspected as risk factor for breast cancer in differentpopulations. The aim of our group was to investigate whether p53 codon 72 and PIN3 Ins16bp may be associated with anincreased riskfor breast cancer in patients originated from Eastern Azarbaijan of Iran. Genotyping was performed by PCR_RFLP method for totally 100 cases and 100 healthy women without background of any cancer. We suggest that TP53 Arg72Pro-16Del/Ins haplotype and the combined genotype are likely genetic markers contributing to susceptibility of breast cancer in regions. In this study no statistically significant differences between the genotypes and allele frequency were found for Arg72Pro and PIN3 Ins 16 bp polymorphisms between patients and controls.
