Remarks in Strategy of Research and Developing in Hi-Tech Case Study: The Approach of Iran to Nanotechnology

The main aim of Iranian approach toward Nanotechnology is increase National GDP. The main question is that how Iran can reach more income using nanotechnology. In this paper, it is tried to describe the best road map to develop nanotechnology based on the latest and the most reliable ideas derived from North American and local experiences. Considering the value creation chain and local situation, establishment a national innovation and development center for nanotechnology is suggested as it is shown that the main key in development of profitable nanotechnology is innovation. The major goal of such a center will be focusing on converting the scientific investigations to value. Innovation centers will be evaluated based on their success in wealth Creation, not scientific criteria, e.g. number of publications. Iranian research and development centers must change their approach and try to focus on innovation for producing more and more incomes.
