چکیده مقاله:

A cutting- plane algorithm is developed for parametric evaluation of the optimal residual stresses in consecutive projectiles. This process can create a compressive residual layer over the work-piece surface. In this paper, an integrated threedimensional finite element model is made up for the peening process in order to provide the ability to define different kinds of loading on the target. The effects of process parameters such as speed and diameter, the friction coefficient of the target plate and impact angle and sequences are considered as well as the strike numbers. The results are validated with available experimental data. After analyzing the results, the optimum conditions for this process is recommended in applications
