چکیده مقاله:

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex genetic disease with induction of inflammation in the central nervous system (CNS). Some cytokines such as IL-6 and IL-17 are reported as main players in pathogenesis of this disease which are upregulated in lesions of MS patients. On the other hand some viruses such as Herpes viruses are shown to be present in many MS patients in comparison to control groups. However, some other members of Herpesviridae are known for producing vIL-6 and vIL-17 but possible involvement of these viral infections has not yet clearly reviewed. Here is an investigation of potential mechanism of correlation between those viruses and MS pathogenesis.
