The Effect of Different Virtual Infrastructure On Web Server Performance

Virtualization technologies have been improved the way of using the resources and they are mechanism for isolating hardware and its resources from the operating system, but on the other hand they increase the likelihood of conflicts between them. These technologies with the advent of multi-processor technology provide the facilities for consolidation in data centers. One of the effective methods to study the performance of virtualization technology is to use benchmark. In this paper, we use virtualization technology in hypervisor level and evaluate its performance using different scenarios. The hypervisor used in this paper is VMware ESXi 1.5 . To test and measure performance of the web server we used ab benchmark and analysis and results are presented
