چکیده مقاله:

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) consist of a large number of sensor nodes are capable to sensing different environmental phenomena and sending the collected data to thebase station or Sink. Because the sensor nodes are made of cheap components and are deployed in out of hand anduncontrolled environments, they are prone to failure; so maintaining the network in proper functionality despite occurring undesired events seems to be necessary which iscalled fault tolerance. Hence fault management is essential int hese networks. In this paper, we have proposed a new method interms of fault tolerance and fault detection in WSN. The proposed method performance is simulated in MATLAB.The proposed methodis based onmajorityvote and can detect sensor nodes with permanent faults with high Detection Accuracy and low False Alarm Rate and exclude them from the network. Toinvestigate the efficiency of the new method, it is compared with Chen, Lee, M-HMM and Hybrid algorithms. Simulation resultsshow that the new proposed method has better performance in parameters such as Detection Accuracy and False Alarm Rateeven with a large set of faulty sensor nodes.
