چکیده مقاله:

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) have been considered as a promising powertechnology for applications in portable and stationary. The prohibitive cost of platinum forcatalyzing the cathodic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) has hampered the widespread use ofpolymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs). In this study, Pt catalyst was precipitated on Vulcan XC-72R containing 5 wt.% NiO,Feo and using NaBH4 as a reducing agent. XRD and SEMcharacterizations were carried out to determine the morphology of the catalysts. XRD patterns ofsample showed peaks characteristic of Pt/C and metal oxide nanoparticles. Cyclic voltammetrywas recorded to evaluate ORR performance.
