چکیده مقاله:

This study which was run in Tabriz is designed to investigate the effect of forward recollection technique on vocabulary retrieval of the Iranian second language learners. The study was conducted by Ninety intermediate EFL learners as immersion (60 males & females) and non-immersion groups (30 males & females). Learners in immersion group were exposed to the materials through forward recollection in twenty sessions. In non-immersion group the researcher taught the same materials through conventional techniques. Two week after finishing the sessions, learners in immersion and non-immersion groups received the validated posttest of vocabulary to be checked against their vocabulary retrieval. The findings show that the application of forward recollection technique has helped the participants in immersion group to perform better than the control group. It is worth mentioning that there is no significant difference between genders who received forward recollection technique.
