چکیده مقاله:

Ambiguity of the type and method of the translation of the Holy Quran, on one hand, and dissimilarity of the scientific language of the narrator and the translator, on the other, has caused Quranic translation to be an increasingly challenging issue. Almost all translated versions of Quran are apparently defective and no perfect translation has yet emerged. This study is aimed at clarifying the goal of Quranic translation. It will also try to examine the (un)translatability of the Holy Quran, at various levels, i.e. structural, argumentative, and cultural, using different Quranic translation methods and examples. Considering the importance of the communication of the Divine message to all human beings and trying to do away with the untranslatability problem, the researchers have highlighted the necessity of using exegesis, instead of translation, for this Holy Scripture, and have explained the distinction between these two concepts, namely exegesis and translation
