چکیده مقاله:
Today increasing transportation facilities through conventional methods could not be considered as a suitable and basic solution because it requires large investments and takes a long time to run. Therefore in recent years, some attitudes such as using mechanisms to take advantage of new technologies, efficient use of available resources and using traffic management techniques are considered in urban traffic management in most countries for controlling traffic in large cities. One of the newest and most effective methods for traffic management is the idea of using Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) that is originated from Information Technology. This system improves the performance of transport network, and many traffic problems could be solved by expanding it to urban management. Different routes information can be collected and analyzed using the proposed system and then these data are sent to the municipal traffic system. According to collected data and users’ information that are sent in order to estimate routes distance and determine the optimal route, this system helps to determine the driving route and required alarms for the driver that leads to decrease in the urban traffic volume.
