voltammetric study of new synthesized y- diketone, (bis- paramethoxy benzyl cyclopentadione) pentane-2,4-dione

Voltammertric and poarographic reduction on a hanging mercury electrode in aqueous – ethanol medium was performed for, (bis – paramethoxy benzyl cyclopentadione) pentane-2,4- dione by using SWV, DPP, and CV techniques. Electrochemical behavior of the new y- diketone has been investigvated depending on ethanol – water ratio. From the voltammetric data, electrochemical reduction mechanism has been suggested. Reduction effect of the y- diketone compound was investigated at different pH valuse, optimum conditions are given for its polarographic and voltammetric determination for SWV.
