How to CAAD/CAM a persian muqarnas

In Persian architecture, Muqarnas has been constructed in different ways, with different materials and different structures. The structure of big Muqarnases, is generally constructed with curved or flat surfaces, and smaller Muqarnases can be made with the same surfaces or engraved solids like column capitals in Muqarnas. Here we seek for a way for modelling and introducing Muqarnas elements to digital manufacturing machines. The choice of material type directly influences designing and analysing procedure so, regarding output commitments of parametric design, we started Muqarnas structure recognition and introducing a parametric design of Muqarnas.
