چکیده مقاله:

The presentation defines health system resilience as the capacityof health actors, institutions, and populations to prepare for aneffectively respond to crises; maintain core functions when acrisis hits; and, informed by lessons learnt during the crisis,reorganize if conditions require it.The presentation emphasizes on the effect of the war and internalconflicts on health and socioeconomic status and indicators;barriers to the health services including emergencies (man- madeor natural disasters) and elaborate disaster risk reduction andresilience health system and its linkages with sustainabledevelopment in the environmental, economic, social and politicalspheres.Considering that war and internal conflicts are not alwayspreventable therefore, the presentation suggests health systemmanagers to plan for making health system resilience addressinglocation and type of the buildings, trained health workforce onemergency preparedness and response, availability and access tocomprehensive health services, essential medicine andappropriate technology, functional referral system, informationsystem with components of health emergencies, continuousaccess to water and sanitation at health care facilities, training ofmid- level managers and community on emergency preparednessand response.
