چکیده مقاله:
Health-related issues, among other factors, might be integratedwith different dimensions of identity and become one of thecauses of political tensions in multicultural societies. Thus, healthissues and rights demands which are based of them, such as waterscarcity or air pollution, today, should be considered as a politicaland security concern. On the other hand, some parts of healthrights directly and indirectly are affected by ethnic and culturaldemands. According to the Copenhagen School of SecurityStudies, the mere environmental issue will lead to conflict, but thecombination of several sectors, and factors may do. One of thosefactors could be health issues. As such, by drawing upon theconcept of environmental identity and ethnic identity, this paperexplores how ‘health related- issues’ in the ethnic regions positsa security challenge in Multicultural societies.
