Background: The call for Peace through Health activities andthe role of health professionals in peace-building has developedin recent years as the violence and long-term conflicts have grownmeanwhile. As there is a consensus on the importance of suchactivities, translation and having flawless interactions areenduring challenges when a conflict zone may get worse in casesof probable mistranslating.Methods: The current study is a desk review of available data onvarious factors leading to translation errors which might affectpeace through health activities. To discuss the mentionedchallengeable acts, the data gathered according to the method ofpurposive data collection.Findings: Translation studies as an accepted area of knowledgecan overcome some problems which might happen in peacethrough health activities. Since translation errors can lead into anact of war, this desk review attempts to address the role oftranslation in the contexts which health professionals have theopportunity to decline the conflicts, and also to provide them aroadmap of how to do peace through health activities without anyprobable mistranslation or escalating the conflicts.Conclusion: Based on the previous translation studies and thescenarios presented throughout the current study, it is suggestedthat health professionals and physicians as the most reliablegroups generally approved by both the authorities of politicalparties and grassroots, have the responsibility to be more prudentin their interactions within the main job they are engaged in placesof conflict or violence.
